What are Flavonoids?

What are Flavonoids?

Flavonoids– help make up anticancer phytochemicals as a pigment.

Phytochemicals– Substances found in fruit and vegetable that are known to protect against cancer.

When Flavonoids are a part of anticancer phytochemicals they do these three things:

  1. Act as antioxidants
  2. Have direct anti-tumor effects
  3. Have immune-enhancing properties

Natural Medicine starts with Flavonoids

The best ant-cancer, natural medicine, there is, are flavonoids. This group of plant pigments are more than just a pretty color, they are actually nature’s medicine, because they are better than vitamin C and E, for they excerpt antioxidant activity in a more potent and effective manner. Reducing inflammation, calming allergies, attacking viruses, and healing cancer out-breaks, before they can get ahold of the whole body are just some of the amazing uses of flavonoids. You will be pleased to learn about other tricks flavonoids can do. But first, where do we find these amazing little things?

We find these flavonoids in some of our favorite foods. Look for berries and fruit rich in blue to purple colors, like blueberries, blackberries, Hawthorne berries to red grapes and strawberries. Search for oranges, peaches, and pears, all the way to tomatoes. When you get to the vegetable department, pick-up red-cabbage, onions, parsley, and rhubarb. After you are done there, you’re in luck! Flavonoids are found in dark to semisweet chocolate! How fun is that? Pare that with a glass of “Red, red wine,” and you’re in for a tasty evening. When you come back to reality, dry beans, sage, and tea, don’t you forget, also pack in the flavonoids. Are you wondering what else makes them so special? This is news every woman wants to hear. Can you guess what it is?

    1. Thank you! This is why I love blogging on these topics. I seek far into research to report truth. I took a bit of a break to finish college, but please be expecting new posts coming out soon!

  2. I have been surfing online more than 4 hours today,
yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the
web will be a lot more useful than ever before.
